The small character inkjet printer, also known as a continuous inkjet (CIJ) printer, operates on the principle where ink is driven into the printhead under pressure. The printhead contains a piezoelectric oscillator which vibrates, causing the ink to be ejected from tiny nozzles (typically around 60 microns in diameter) in fixed intervals. Through CPU processing and phase tracking, different ink droplets are charged with varying electrical charges. These charged droplets then pass through a high-voltage magnetic field, causing them to undergo different deflections before being deposited onto the moving surface of the product. This process creates a dot matrix, forming characters, numbers, or graphics.
